The 2024 Race Book describes the traditional point-to-point course and does not reflect the revised 2026 route. Use the 2026 course map and checkpoint chart on this page for current race information.

* There is no cutoff at Josephine Peak or Newcomb. Transporting dropped runners out of these locations is extremely difficult.
2026 AC100 Elevation Profile
The 2026 AC100 estimated elevation profile created by Travis Metzger
Click to view the 2025 AC100 3D terrain map.
In addition, here is an interactive, 3D terrain map of the 2025 Angeles Crest 100 Mile Race. It is based on the course GPX file downloaded from the AC100 website. The map is initially zoomed in on the climb up Mt. Baden-Powell. To change the view, use the control on the upper right side of the screen. Track and placename locations are approximate and subject to errors.
2026 elevation data: The previous segment-by-segment elevation table described the traditional course and has been removed. Use the 2026 course map and elevation profile above for the revised route.
MAP LEGEND
The maps on the following pages are divided by checkpoint to checkpoint segments to give runners a general overview of each section of the 2019 course. Additional maps show areas that might be confusing on training runs if you don’t know the course well. Because the length of the course segments vary significantly, as does their primary orientation (north/south versus east/west), the orientation and scale of the maps vary as well. The scale and map orientation are provided in the corner of each map. The following symbols are used throughout all maps.
Detailed AC100 veteran tips, as well as driving directions for you and your crew, can be found in the AC100 Race Book. The AC100 Map Book is available for download as well.
