{"id":22699,"date":"2026-04-09T00:32:01","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T07:32:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ac100.com\/?p=22699"},"modified":"2026-04-09T01:18:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T08:18:00","slug":"status-of-the-2026-ac100","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ac100.com\/es\/status-of-the-2026-ac100\/","title":{"rendered":"Status of the 2026 AC100"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>\u26a0\ufe0f 2026 AC100 Course Update &#038; Hwy 2 Closures<\/h2>\n<p>\nThe <strong>2025\/2026 Winter Storm<\/strong> caused significant damage to <strong>Hwy 2<\/strong> in two key areas:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Between <strong>Vicente Gap<\/strong> y <strong>Silla de montar Islip<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Near <strong>Mt Waterman Ski Area<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nAs a result, <strong>Hwy 2 is currently closed<\/strong>:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Between <strong>Tres puntos<\/strong> y <strong>Chaparr\u00f3n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>En <strong>Big Pines<\/strong> near Wrightwood<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\ud83d\udeab You <strong>cannot drive from La Canada to Wrightwood via Hwy 2<\/strong>.<br \/>\n\u2705 However, <strong>Wrightwood remains accessible from the east via Hwy 138\/2<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>\ud83c\udfc1 Race Format Change \u2013 Start &#038; Finish in Altadena<\/h3>\n<p>\nDue to these closures, the <strong>2026 AC100<\/strong> will <strong>not be a point-to-point race<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\ud83d\udc49 This year\u2019s race will <strong>Start and Finish at Loma Alta Park in Altadena<\/strong> \u2014<br \/>\nthe <strong>first time in race history<\/strong> we will start in Altadena.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nIn past reroutes, we always started in Wrightwood.
